Michael Ruff concentrates his practice on federal and state taxation matters. Michael brings comprehensive tax knowledge coupled with strong litigation capabilities to serve his clients' complex tax needs. His tax practice encompasses merger and acquisition tax planning, due diligence, tax-efficient structuring, and tax controversies. He has significant experience analyzing target company financials, conducting tax due diligence, and developing organizational structures that optimize tax benefits for his clients, and civil litigation.

Michael earned his Master of Laws in Taxation and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. His academic excellence in tax law was demonstrated through his membership on the Tax Moot Court Team and his achievement as Runner-Up in the Iberoamerican Tax Moot Court Competition.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University, where he was recognized on both the President's List and Dean's List.
